In any competition (I dislike competitions with prizes!) the attention and hype turns around the first prize. It’s often forgotten how much work all the other competitors put in, how much talent was necessary to even be selected to compete.
Here’s a swimmer that came in second, watching how the photographers and public turned all their attention on Number One.
