Drawing on vintage school slate. Not sure children who used such slates in schools for taking notes are still with us. Sadly, these days the slates are used to advertise the soup of the day in restaurants windows.
To me it was a trip in time. No, I’m not that old but one can take a trip and “be” with those tenement children in NY, at the turn of the century.
